WHO THIS PROGRAMME IS FOR
This programme is designed for:
- Service leavers and veterans planning their transition to civilian life
- Officers, senior NCOs and specialists who want to work professionally with people
- Those exploring coaching, leadership development, consultancy or mentoring
- Veterans who already hold UK coaching qualifications (ILM, Level 5, Level 7 etc) but want a market-recognised, international credential
If you want to establish professional credibility with employers, organisations and paying clients, this pathway gives you the professional credibility the market now expects.
WHY THIS MATTERS FOR VETERANS
Many service leavers invest their resettlement funding into coaching or leadership qualifications and only later discover that UK-only awards are not always recognised or valued by employers, buyers or global organisations.
The coaching market has professionalised.
Today, serious buyers increasingly look for:
- Internationally recognised credentials
- Independent assessment
- Supervised practice
- Ethical and professional standards
This is exactly what the ICF (International Coaching Federation) provides.
WHY ICF AND WHY IT BEATS UK-ONLY QUALIFICATIONS
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the global professional body for coaching.
In the UK and internationally:
- Employers and public bodies increasingly expect ICF-credentialed coaches
- UK-only qualifications are often not sufficient on their own
- ICF credentials are competency-based, practice-led and independently assessed
- ICF ACC is the recognised entry point into professional coaching worldwide
This programme leads you towards the ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential the same framework used by professional coaches working in corporates, the NHS, government and global organisations.

NEXT STEP
If you’re considering using ELCAS funding for this programme, we recommend a short conversation first.
We’ll help you decide whether this is the right next step with no obligation.
Using Multiple ELCAS Claims
Spread the cost using two ELCAS claims
Many of our veteran learners choose to use more than one ELCAS funding claim to reduce their personal contribution.
ELCAS allows eligible service leavers to make up to three claims across separate financial years.
This means you can spread your funding across two claims if preferred.
Example (Higher Tier eligibility)
Programme fee: ÂŁ4,800
| Option 1 – Single claim | Option 2 – Two claims (most popular) |
|---|---|
| • ELCAS funds: £2,000 | • Year 1 ELCAS: £2,000 |
| • Your contribution: £2,800 | • Year 2 ELCAS: £2,000 |
| • Your contribution: £800 |
By using two claims, many learners reduce their personal cost significantly while still completing the full programme.
We will guide you through the timing and paperwork to make this straightforward.
